Musée Bargoin in Clermont-Ferrand hosts its new temporary exhibition, entitled “Traits d’Égypte, Marcelle Baud”

This exhibition will highlight the career of Marcelle Baud (1890-1987), a Parisian of Auvergne origin who became an Egyptologist-draughtswoman in the 1920s. Although the history of the discipline has now almost forgotten her name, Marcelle Baud was nevertheless one of the rare women Egyptologists of the early 20th century to evolve in an essentially male environment. Through the drawings made during her archaeological missions, we invite you to discover her unique story.
