To celebrate its 100th anniversary, DekaBank – the Sparkasse Group’s investment bank – has gone all out: the former safe deposit rooms were turned into an interactive exhibition space, thus retracing 100 years of history. The exhibition can be visited by groups, by reservation only and with a guide. The introductory space emphasizes the roots and values of the Sparkasse Group. A historical fresco parallels the history of Germany, that of the Sparkasse and the major stages in the development of DekaBank. Starting with an idea (allowing everyone to save money) and ending with one of the most powerful banking groups in the world.
Anamnesia conceived and realized all the devices, including an 11m long immersive film that traces the economic and social history of the last century. After the projection of the film, visitors are invited to open trunks containing archive documents. Each of these documents, placed on an interactive table, reveals its content in a short immersive film at 270° (16 films in total). In the basement, great witnesses, former executives and strategists of the bank deliver their vision of history and their hopes for the future on 4 large interactive multimedia stations.
