The Dijon Museum of Fine Arts is one of the oldest museums in France, located in the Palace of the Dukes and States of Burgundy. Within the framework of its renovation, launched in January 2002, the museum wished to set up two interactive applications for the “Middle Ages – Renaissance” tour. The mediation tour offers high-definition photos and iconographic supports of the Chartreuse de Champmol. With the help of the interactive map, visitors can locate the current remains of this building, while learning more about the Charterhouse, from its foundation to its destruction. A second device allows visitors to get closer to the tombs and to handle in 360° the mourners, a perfectly preserved series of 82 alabaster statuettes.
